Mahtani wins case against hired ZAMBIA REPORTS conspirators in Malawi

The High Court of Malawi on 28th July 2015 entered Judgment (in a civil cause no:570 of 2015) in favour of Dr. Rajan Mahtani against Malawi Nyasa Times which would now have to pay colossal damages and retract all their false reports. The media house was sued for Slander and Defamation which centred around the operations of the Bank (in Voluntary Liquidation) and it’s promoter.
The author of the defamatory article also caused the same story to be published by the Mail & Guardian of South Africa. According to reliable information availed to us, the source of this defamatory article was Zambia Reports. Zambia Reports (Ventriglia Italian Mafia Funded) is a website that is known to defame Dr. Mahtani nearly on a daily basis.
Recently, Dr. Mahtani’s Attorneys in the United States of America wrote to GoDaddy, the host of Zambia Reports demanding that the website be closed down. In Zambia, Dr. Mahtani has also sued GoDaddy demanding that the real identities of the authors of the articles on Zambia Reports be revealed so that they can face the law for their libelous, scandalous, defamatory and malicious fabrications.
Zambia Reports is clearly operating under an ill-fated illusion that freedom of speech means that one can go about wantonly, wily nily defaming and scandalizing innocent parties under the umbrella of freedom of speech. This illusion must also be cognizant of the fact that the Courts must also be respected where matters are subjudice. For a lawyer like Sakwiba Sikota S.C. who is a masked contributor and de-facto owner of this website, he ordinarily ought to know basic jurisprudence of Jural Relations, if he had a Law Degree. Not only do people have rights, but they also have duties. Zambia Reports is duty bound to report facts as opposed to calculated fictitious paid propaganda against innocent individuals in the name of exercising rights.
If Zambia Reports thinks that the stories carried out on their website against Dr. Mahtani are factual, we challenge them to use their real identities. However, should their trend continue, Dr. Mahtani should not hesitate to exercise his fundamental human rights and will continue pursuing them until they are held accountable for their repetitive defamatory publications.
