“Zambians have realised they made a mistake in January 2015 to vote for the PF back into office. Now the future of Zambia lies in the young man Hakainde Hichilema, brilliant boy, fantastic boy,” Mr Bwalya said.
The PF is busy paying foreign contractors and neglecting Zambian contractors.
He pledged that the UPND will focus on empowering local small and medium scale businesses when it forms government.Mr Bwalya accused the PF government of focusing on paying foreign contractors at the expense of local Zambian contractors.
“You know why the Kwacha has dried up? The PF is busy paying foreign contractors and neglecting Zambian contractors. When we form government since all Ministries will be under me as Vice President, I will instruct all Ministries to pay Zambia contractors at once.”
Mr Bwalya said the UPND will not be scared of making local Dollar Millionaires by empowering them with contracts and prompt payments.
He said the UPND is confident of winning the August 11 polls because of the massive support the party is receiving.
Mr Bwalya said the UPND today is enjoying more support than the PF did before winning the 2011 general elections.
“You see, I am on the ground and I have been involved in politics for a very long time. I can tell you that the massive support we are receiving is actually bigger than what the PF was receiving when Michael Sata was around,” Mr Bwalya said.
He observed that some places such as Muchinga and the Copperbelt which were traditionally viewed as PF strongholds have now moved to UPND.
Mr Bwalya charged that President Edgar Lungu has totally failed to manage the country since taking over office over 18 months ago.
