picnIllegal President Edgar Kaminamisa Vasco da Lungu has now ordered parastatal companies to immediately start demoting, dismissing, transferring highly qualified professionals from their suspected of being UPND.
Majority of those affected are Lozis, Tongas, Luvales, Lundas, Kaonde, Lambas and now some Bembas purely on tribal lines.
So far, a number of qualified engineers and personnel at the state owned ZESCO, ZRA and Zamtel have been highly affected and being replaced by cadres with no qualifications and experience to manage the sensitive operations.
Sources have told the Zambian Eagle that part of the major problems Zesco has such as the continued loadshedding is due to the high number of unqualified people who have been tasked to maintain the generation and transmission equipment in the country leading to major breakdowns.
The Bembas are the latest addition to Lungu’s purging scheme as they are now perceived to be sympathetic to UPND President Hakainde Hichilema and GBM plus others have followed and being sympathetic to dismissed Information Minister Chishimba Kambwili.
Sources say Lungu is very unhappy and feels u safe with these tribal groupings in the country hence more names are being compiled for dismissing, transfers, and demotion.
Sources say higher institutions of learning plus the civil servants will also be targeted just like he has done at State House.
State House sources have revealed to the Zambian Eagle that a number of diplomats aligned to late President Michael Sata are also being recalled and will be replaced by the list recommended by former President Rupiah Banda.
